Rex J. Starn
Rex J. Starn was born April 2, 1921 in Fairmont, West Virginia. He left this earthly life June 22, 2013 only to enter into eternal life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Starn and son-in-law, Don Abicht. He leaves three children; Cheryl (Terry) Bennett, Carole Abicht, and Jim (Tina) Starn; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Rex served in the U.S. Army in Panama. He was saved while in the Army and was faithful to the Lord until the end. Now he has a new beginning with no end. Rex taught himself to play guitar and used that talent for the Lord. He was a member of East Market Street Church of God for over 60 years. Rex will be missed.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, June 25 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor O.L. Henderson officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
