Richard E. Bailey

Richard E. "Rick" Bailey, 60, of Kent, passed away on November 26, 2023. He was born in Warren, Ohio on May 3, 1963, son to the late Rex and Geraldine (Lute) Bailey. He was also preceded in death by his son Bradley Bailey and brother Mack Bailey. Rick was a truck driver for 40 years, handle "Husky" and for 16 years at Hunter Allen Construction and more recently at Kenmore Construction. He loved music, especially bluegrass and he played the drums. He also enjoyed motorcycles and guns. You always saw him in a hat that matched his shirt. Rick married Renee on June 20, 1981, and spent 44 loving years together. She survives him. He is also survived by daughter Heidi (William Van Dyke) Bailey; granddaughter Christine Whyde; brother Rex (Kathy) Bailey; mother-in-law Nancy High; brothers and sisters-in-law Chris (Conniejo) Helems, and Dale (Elizabeth) Helems; nieces and nephews Joshua, Kaleb, Austin, Brianna, Kay Lynn, Randy, Victoria, Stephanie, Jessica, Amanda, Amber, and DJ; long-time childhood best friends J.R. and Scott as well as numerous other great friends and family.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2-6pm on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at The Venue (10 Tallmadge Circle, Tallmadge, OH 44278). A brief service will be performed by Caleb Bailey from 4-4:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
