Richard L. Blon, 64, of Akron, died on December 18, 2004 at Akron General Medical Center. He was born March 28, 1940 in North Versailles, Pennsylvania. Rick enjoyed friends and family. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles A. Blon. Rick is survived by his wife, Geri (Meehan) of Akron; mother, Lillian (Wolfgang) of Freeport PA; daughter, Josanne M. (Dan) Anthony of Titusville PA; sons, Richard L. Jr. (Michelle), John H. (Gayle), Charles A. (Carla), Gary J. all of Pennsylvania and Bryan E. (Sherrie) of Akron; 15 grandchildren; sister Janis Hamer of Freeport PA; brother, Thomas A. (Maureen) of Turtle Creek PA; special friend, Jim Prack. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at NEWCOMER-FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 131 N Canton Rd. with Pastor Ken Bulgrin officiating. Calling hours will follow from 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of ones choice.
