Richard C. Grayem

February 17, 1922 — September 10, 2012

Dick passed away September 10, 2012 with his wife and children at his bedside. Most of his 90 years were spent in Akron. He was a graduate of East High School where he lettered in football. He attended Akron Art Institute and his favorite pastime was drawing original cartoon characters. He spent four years in the Army in World War II and retired with 30 years service as a Quality Control Inspector with the Federal Government. He was member of the Akron First Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Doris; children, Beverly (George) Schueller, Dale (Charlotte) Grayem, Ronda (Daniel) Lovette; grandchildren, Paul Schueller, Scott Schueller and fiancé, Sharon McMullen, Christopher Grayem, Brian (Kristal) Lovette, Lisa (Christopher) Miller, Mark (Emily) Lovette; 5 great-grandchildren. Six siblings preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be held at Akron First Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 655 East Waterloo Rd., on Sunday, September 23 at 2 PM. A private graveside burial will take place at Hillside Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions be made to Crossroads Hospice, 3743 Boettler Dr. Ste E, Uniontown, OH 44685.
