Richard Charles Robertson, 56, went home to be with the Lord on August 2, 2009. Born on 05-02-1956, and was a graduate from Norton High School Class of 1971. Richard served in the U.S. Army, and graduated from the top of his class from National Institute of Technology in 1986. He was an art and music lover. He is survived by a large, beloved family and long time friends. Richard leaves behind his mother and stepfather, Mildred and Thomas Milan; wife, Georgiann C. Zollinger; brothers, Mike Robertson, Robin Robertson, Douglas Breedlove, David Breedlove, James Breedlove and Lyn Breedlove; and sisters, Susan Sams, Marcia Cruse, Lisa Sullivan, Donna Scearce, Michelle Palmer, Elena Hooper, Katy Stewart, Laura Hilliard and Chris Breedlove. Preceded in death by his father, Teddy Hilliard; adopted father, Dillard Robertson; grandparents, Chester and Mazelle Newberry, Henry and Isabella Bryant, Betty King, and Charles and Grace Hilliard; and brothers, Kenneth Robertson and Mark Robertson. Calling hours will be Wednesday, Aug. 5, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 6, at 1 p.m. Interment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
