Richard S. Conrad

Richard "Dick" S. Conrad, age 75 of Akron, Ohio passed away February 4, 2021 after a short battle with cancer.

Dick was born in Akron, Ohio on June 23, 1945 and graduated from Springfield Township High School in 1963. He was drafted by the Army, where he served from 1967-1971. On August 24, 1991, Dick married his best friend Sheri {St. Clair}.

Dick was employed as a truck driver by Duff and Yellow Freight, from which he retired in 2001. He was an active member of Teamsters. Dick enjoyed spending winters in Florida with his wife, spending time with grandkids, golfing, and hanging with the breakfast crew every Friday.

He is survived by his wife Sheri; children Traci Conrad and Jodie (Rick) Cheyney; step-children John Ankeny, Jodi (Kevin) Handlin and Jennifer (Larry) Rosenbusch, as well as six grandchildren.

Dick is preceded in death by parents Richard M. and Evelyn M., as well as his two sisters Jean Webb and Barb Cramer.

Visitation will be held for friends and family on Monday, February 8, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, 44305 from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. For the safety of Dick's family and their guests, masks are required, as well as social distancing at the funeral home.
