Richard E. Copeland, age 75, passed away at his residence on December 31, 2005. Richard was a life long resident of the Akron area. His favorite hobby was to watch car racing especially the dirt track races, he also enjoyed fishing. He was a veteran of the armed services serving with the Army, he was a member of the Lakemore Army/Navy Club. Richard is preceded in death by his parents Homer and Isabelle Copeland. Richard is survived by his wife of 52 years Glenna (nee Epling), and his four children Darla Lindsey (Steve), Sherri Haymond (Mark), Rick Copeland (Anna), and Dana Harsh ( Todd).He is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. At the request of the family all services will be private. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made in Richards name to the Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice, 3358 Ridgewood Rd, Akron, OH 44333-6118.
