Richard Addison Fleming, born March 1, 1951, passed away peacefully in his home on August 7, 2021 at the age of 70.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Adam G. Fleming and Agnes N (Dingus) Fleming, his brothers-in-law Glen Chaney and Danny Goodwin.
Richard was a loving father to his children Dawn (and Keith), Adam (and Judy), Becky (and Denver), Nyla (and Nate), and stepdaughter Amanda (and Mike). His passion was doting on his grandchildren Timmy, Paula, Rachel, Hailey, Alexis, Kathryn, Zachary, Dallas, Rachelle, Cristopher, Travis, Kayla and his great grandson Brixton.
After leaving the US Navy, he became a bus driver under his father's wing at METRO RTA in Akron, a coal miner in Dickenson County Virginia, and eventually found his true calling as an electrical engineer, and retired from Lincoln Electric in Ohio. Richard loved his family, his Harley, and his Mustang. He was a self-proclaimed "Old Weather Prophet from Way Back". He was known for his witty phrases and story-telling, but most importantly his compassion, generosity, and wisdom.
Richard is survived by his wife Sharon, his sisters Marie, Dorothy (and Duke), and Wanda (and Jim), his children and grandchildren, great grandson, several cousins, two uncles, four nieces, two nephews, and many extended family and friends.
