Richard H. Bailey

Richard H. Bailey, age 96, of Akron passed away on February 22, 2025. He was born in Stow on December 24, 1929, to the late Hillson and Yvonne Bailey. Richard served in the U.S. Army where he received Army of Occupation Medal and WWII Victory Medal. He retired from the Akron Beacon Journal in the maintenance department. Richard was a member of the Tire Town Corvette Club for many years. 

He is survived by his long-time companion Barbara Frick; sisters Charlotte Nickol, and Shirley Sembric; and many nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the service that begins at noon on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Chestnut Hills Memorial Park.
