Richard L. Harkless

Richard (Mike) L. Harkless (83), born on September 20, 1933 in Philipsburg, PA, went home to be with the Lord on September 8, 2017. He proudly served his country in the Army, faithfully worked forty years at the Ford Motor Company in the Walton Hills Stamping Plant, and was a life-long member of the VFW Post 1062. Mike enjoyed fishing/ hunting, watching old westerns/WW II movies, and reading the morning newspaper.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Harkless (Groves) of sixty years and five sons: Rick (Brenda), Michael (Brietta), Terry (Carolyn/KayKay), Mark (Cody), and Kevin (Lisa). He was blessed with several grandchildren and great grandchildren who he always bragged about.

Visitation to celebrate Mike's life will be from 4-7pm at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron 44305 on Thursday September 14, 2017. We will gather together to share loving memories at 7pm.
