Richard "Jack" Rose, 73, of Akron, passed away January 4, 2013. He was born in Charleston, WV on May 8, 1939 to the late Pansy Ellison. Jack retired from the Air Force after 23 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carol, of 32 years.
Jack is survived by his son, Ernie (Stacy); daughters, Terrie, Angela and Megan; grandchildren, Alecia, Camden, Landen, Lauren, Antoine and Blake; great-grandchild, Zyaire; brothers, Gary and Bill Ellison; sister, Ann (Tim) Owens; many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Monday, January 7, from 5-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 8 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Fleary Spurlock officiating.
Interment at Swank Cemetery, Spencer, WV.
