Richard L. Stephens
Richard L. Stephens, 54, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord on September 7, 2010. He was born in Akron on April 20, 1956 to the late Robert L. and Betty L. Stephens. Richard was a longtime member of Grace Baptist Church. He will always be remembered as a free spirit who loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and other family members. He will be deeply missed by his children, Richard L. Stephens II (Ronni Frazier), Susan L. (Ben) Barkley; former wife, Vicky S. Stephens; brother, Robert L. (Elaine) Stephens; grandchildren, Grady and Wade Barkley; as well as other friends and loved ones. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Phil Hulgin officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
