Richard Lee Carson, 69, of Mogadore, passed away July 25, 2008. Richard was born February 16, 1939 in Akron, Ohio. He was employed by Lawson's for many years and later retired as the president of the Teamsters Local 336. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Elizabeth and brother, Robert. He is survived by his loving wife, Pauline, with whom he recently celebrated 50 years of marriage; daughters, Cindy (Mick) Jones and Karen (Charlie) Grubbs; grandchildren, Tiffany Jones, Justin (Mandy) Jones, Richard Jones, Jordan Grubbs, and Joshua Grubbs; great-grandchildren, Dominick and Delaney Jones; brothers, Ralph, Raymond, and George; sister, Garnet Pursley; and special friends, Alice and Bill Montgomery and Austin Herold. Family and friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m., Pastor Fred Webb and Mr. Charlie Grubbs officiating. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery.
