Richard A. Matea

Richard A. Matea, age 62, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away on December 27, 2024 at Akron City Hospital. He was born on September 30, 1962 to the late John and Sharon Matea in Parma, Ohio. He graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School.

Richard worked as a machinist for Harbor Castings for many years.

He loved sports, especially football. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes. He also enjoyed being outdoors fishing and camping. 

Richard is survived by his siblings, David Matea, Angela (Shawn) Matea Moore and John (Kelly) Ryan; step-father, Richard Ryan; as well as nieces, nephews and other family and friends. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Matea.

Per Richard's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, January 4th, 2025 from 1:00-4:00pm at the Loyal Order of Moose (4444 State Rd, Peninsula, OH 44264).
