Richard A. Mills

Richard A. Mills, "Rick", age 67, of Akron, Ohio, died on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at the Hospice Care Center in Copley with his loving family by his side.

He was born on May 13, 1950 in Akron, the son of the late Shird and Elsie (nee Buchanan) Mills.

Rick retired from SGS Tool Company where he worked for 20 plus years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, and golfing. He loved his motorcycle. But his greatest joys were being with his grandchildren and spending time at camp. He enjoyed the last 4 summers at Paradise Lakes Family Camp Ground where he was very well known, loved and had many, many friends.

Rick is survived by his daughters, Melissa (Bryan Ressler) Fischer, Monica (Brian) Kehres, and Cory (Johnny) Duffy; his grandchildren, Lane, Jonathan, Dawson, Kyle, Hayden, Haley, Colin, Raigan, and Connor. His brother also survives, Robert "Bob" (Carol) Mills; and his two nieces, Brooke and Samantha.

Memorial services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 2, 2017, where family and friends may visit from 12:00 PM until the time of the service.
