Richard "Rick" D. Rager, 63, of Akron, Ohio passed away on April 7, 2017.
He was a loving husband, father, uncle, and grandfather. He was a dedicated and hardworking employee of J. Bowers Construction.
Richard was born to Lewis and Elden Rager (Lazzelle). He will be joining his parents and brothers, Lewis, Dana, and Terry Rager in eternal heaven. Richard was married to his loving, wonderful, and beautiful wife, Vivian "Vicki" Rager (Reeder). He also leaves two children: Angela Rager (Michael) and Richard (Carolyn) Rager, Jr.; stepchildren, William (Debbie), Tammy (Dave), and Lorne (Paula) Voytek; brothers, Gary and Ronald (Carol) Rager and sister, Joanne (Fred) Shrout of Kingwood, WV. He was a proud grandfather to Colton Raymond, Brennan Rager, and Alyssa Rager. He will be dearly missed by many other relatives and friends. The family wishes to thank Joe, Jake, Justin and the fine staff of Summa Health System (Akron City Hospital) for aiding the family in this hard time.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 10, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Richard will be privately laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
