Richard Rondy
Richard Rondy, 59, passed away April 19, 2012 at home with loved ones at his side after a short battle with cancer.
Born and raised in Akron, Richard attended Annunciation St. John School and graduated from East High School. He has resided in Cuyahoga Falls since 1983. Richard worked as a machinist and tool & dye setter, retiring in 2011. Richard enjoyed the outdoors, frequently hiking, camping, and fishing.
He was preceded in death by parents, Mary and Eugene Rondy; and brother, Thomas.
Richard is survived by wife of 32 years, Sally (Wasson); daughter, Jessica (Glenn) Merritts; son, Paul; brothers, William (Sue) and James (Debbie); and many other close friends and family.
Calling hours will be held Monday, April 23, from 5 to 7 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a service will follow at 7 pm with Minister Tracey Peek officiating. The family would like to give thanks to the staff at Odyssey Hospice for all their help and support.
