Richard A. Stewart

Richard A. Stewart, 64, of Coventry Twp., passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on January 4, 2023. He was born in Akron on June 24, 1958 to the late Richard and Jo Ann Stewart.
Rick graduated from Green High School in 1976. He spent many years as a concrete finisher and then retired from Meggitt Aircraft Braking Systems after fifteen years of service.
Rick was a true outdoorsman. He loved fishing for walleye at Lake Erie and Senecaville Lake where his family owned a cabin. He was also an avid hunter and loved to ride his Harley.
Rick will always be remembered for his generosity to others and his wicked sense of humor. He made friends wherever he went and will be truly missed by everyone who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepson, Josh.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca "Becky" Stewart, with whom he shared the last twenty years; his stepchildren, Brent, Samantha, and Rachel; his brothers, Gary and Craig; and many good friends, including his closest friends: Andrew, John, and Troy. He also leaves his pitbull/black lab companion, Chance, who never left his side.
Rick's life will be celebrated on Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 1 - 4 p.m. at the Turkeyfoot Sportsman Club, 4551 Dustys Rd., Akron, OH 44319.
