Rick A. Burrell

October 6, 1955 — July 9, 2022

"If you are reading this, I won't be at coffee Friday."
Rick Burrell of Rootstown passed away on July 9th, 2022 after battling brain cancer. He was a 1973 graduate of Rootstown High School. He was self-employed over the years having owned two different construction companies. He was a passionate Cleveland sports fan, and spent almost 20 years coaching youth sports including basketball, baseball, and soccer. Rick loved camping at their island retreat on the Cheet River in West Virgina.
Burrell leaves behind his wife and best friend, Connie; daughter, Sara Mick; and sons, Jason and Nathan. He also leaves behind grandchildren, Keegan Mick, Andi Burrell, Austin Greenwald, Owen Burrell, Alyx Burrell, Sadie Mick and Andrew Napier; sisters Sauni Eskridge, BJ Sommers, and Gayle Bradley; sisters-in-law Becky and Carol Burrell; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents Eva and Willis Burrell; son Jason Greenwald; brothers Dean and Duane Burrell, brother-in-law Bill Bradley; mother-in-law Waneta Ridenour; father-in-law Don Ridenour; and nephews Tom Eskridge and Thomas Burrell.
He was a founding member of the Roundtable that met for coffee and conversation every Friday for 43 years. He was blessed to have so many close friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at First Church of God, 237 New Milford Rd., Ravenna on July 13th where a private memorial service will begin at 7:00pm.
