Rita Joyce Elze, age 91 of Akron, Ohio, died on January 15, 2022 at her home.
She was born on July 9, 1930 in Akron, the daughter of the late Charles and Bessie Lucille (nee Barnes) Smith.
Survivors include her two daughters, Pamela (Donald "Don) Coleman and Deborah Harwell; and many other family members.
Rita was preceded in death by her husband, Jack F. Elze in June of 2012.
Rita will be buried in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio, with her husband.
All arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron.
