Rita "Cookie" Garvin, 64, passed away due to a short battle with lymphoma on February 22, 2018. She was born February 22, 1954 in Elyria to late parents Henry and Lois Metera. Cookie is survived by her husband of 50 years, John Garvin; daughter, Jan (Christopher Opliger) Garvin; grandchildren, Ryan (Brianna), Caitlin (James); great-grandchildren, Kyler, Lylah; brother, Tom (Tammy) Metera; niece, Arianne (Zeke); and nephew; Brian (Jen) Metera.
Per her wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be held in March. Correspondence can be addressed to the family at 40 E. Ingleside Dr., Akron, OH 44319.
