Rita Jenean Yergin, 76, of Akron, passed away March 9, 2008 at her residence. She was born August 31, 1931 in Akron, Ohio to the late Henry & Clara (Huber) Heimberger. Rita worked as a waitress for over 45 years and enjoyed serving all of her customers. She was also a member of Community Baptist Temple. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Kavon; sister, Martha McGunigal; and brothers, Robert, Ramon and Franklin Heimberger. She is survived by her daughters, Lois (Ken) Stanley of Lisbon ME, Johne Mohlmaster of Akron, Vickie Yergin of Mt. Vernon OH; sons, Fred "Butch" (Laurie) Yergin of Lisbon ME and Jerry (Kathi) Yergin of Lisbon Falls ME; sister, Ruth (Tom) Wilson of Stow OH; brothers, Larry and Fred Heimberger both of Akron; 14 grandchildren including special caregivers, Kevin and Jeff Mohlmaster; 4 great-granddaughters; several nieces and nephews and special friend Esther Ekmark. Calling hours will be Friday from 6 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mark O'Donnell officiating.
