Rita M.(Dukes) White
Rita M. White, 67, a lifetime resident of the Akron area, passed away October 3, 2004. Rita graduated from St. Mary's High School. She was employed as an STNA at Cuyahoga Falls Country Place for 17 years, and was a longtime member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy "Lee" White; parents, William and Margaret Dukes; son, Jeffrey White; sister, Cynthia Dukes; and brother, William Dukes. She is survived by her children, Stephen (Linda) White and Kelly (Rocky) McKay; sisters, Mildred Burrell, Gladys Weatherbee, Ann Focht, Mary Stowe, Cathy Pavlakovic, and Sandy Baker; grandchildren, Daniel, Shannon, and Breanna McKay, and Christina and Kimber White; cousins, Kay Harvey, Lynda Robinson, and Marlene Miller; many other friends and relatives. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church with visitation for one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of VNS and St. Matthew Catholic Church.
