Robbi Denise Bennett
Robbi Denise Bennett, 24, passed away February 9, 2005 after a brief illness. She was born April 10, 1980 in Barberton, Ohio and lived in the area all of her life. Robbi was a graduate of Green High School class of 1997 where she held a special position on the Girls Basketball Team. She was a member of "Prayer Band of Faith," enjoyed bowling with a group called "Happy Time Bowlers" and was an all around sports fanatic, especially of the Cleveland Indians and Pittsburgh Steelers. She touched many lives with love and friendship and there were many who loved her. Robbi was a recipient of a kidney transplant thanks to a generous donation 1 1/2 years ago. She is survived by her mother, Diane Sibley, formerly of Fairlawn; birth mother, Jean (Glenn) Bennett-Larrison of New Mexico; "Grandma & Grandpa," Thomas and Catherine Bennett of Akron and Gilbert and Ora Anderson; fiance, Rick Andrews; "brothers," Stevie (Pam) Sibley, Denver Wade, Gilbert ( Sheron) Anderson; "Sis" Shamarrow & Gail Sibley, Arenthia (Leonard) Harvey; aunt and uncle, Lynda & Gary Garrett of Manchester; cousins, Tracy Gadosik (Thomas Young) and her son, Tommy, Terri (Rick) Brown and their son, Dakota, Tom (Erin) Garrett and their children, Patience, Vincent and Arora. Calling hours will be Saturday from 7 - 9 p.m. and Sunday from 4 - 7 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. where funeral services will be held Monday at 12:30 p.m. with Pastor Bill Randall officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Summit County, 1889 Indian Hills Trail, Akron OH 44313. The family wishes to thank all the staff at Akron City Hospital and the Renal Transplant Center.
