Robert A. Walters, 70, went home to be with the Lord on June 2, 2011. He was a loving husband to Sandra, married for 50 years. He was a wonderful father to Angela and Diana (Tim). He was the best grandpa any grandchild could ask for. Always there for them always involved in their sporting events. He was a devoted grandfather to Anthony and Julia Haidet, and James Lee III, Ashley Lee and Brandon Hitchings. Loving sister, Nancy (Jack) Downs. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Luella Walters; grandmother, Alice Rose; and sister, Mary Walters. He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. Robert was involved in the church with Council Evangelism, Choir, and Busy Sunshine Seniors. He was a retired Teamster of Local #24. He also worked at Motor Freight Express, Holland UFS, and Yellow Freight Express. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, June 7, from 11 am to 1 pm at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 158 North Ave., Tallmadge, where a service will follow at 1 pm with Pastor Bill Michaels officiating. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Uniontown. In lieu of flowers, condolences may be sent to the family.
