Robert B. Charlton, 87, of Green, OH passed away on June 4, 2013 at Hospice Care Center. He was born on May 31, 1926 to the late James and Nell (Truog) Charlton in Monongah, WV. Bob retired as a Director of Purchasing for Mohawk Rubber Co. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, was a kamikaze survivor on Bunker Hill aircraft carrier and belonged to the VFW Post #8975. On June 21, 1952 he married Norma (Yingling). Bob enjoyed a very active life golfing, camping, boating, gardening and anything outdoors.
Bob is survived by his Son, William L. (Cecilia) Charlton of Akron, OH, Grandchildren; Jason, Justin and Daniel, 6 Great Grandchildren, Niece, Cindy (Daniel) Holgate, many other special Nieces, Nephews, Relatives and Friends. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, Norma Charlton, Son, Robert I. Charlton, Brothers, Richard and Jimmy, Sisters; Elaine, Carolyn and Linda Sue.
