Robert L. Bender Jr. (Boog) went home to be with the Lord on June 4, 2018 after a long illness. He was born on May 20, 1958 in Elkins, West Virginia to the late Robert Sr. and Frances Bender. Also preceding him in death was his daughter Calista Marie Bender.
Boog is survived by daughter, Desirea (Randy) McMillan; son, Robert Farrington; 3 brothers, Randy (Liz) Bender, Steve Bender and Larry Bender; 2 sisters, Kathy (Jim) Shreve, Beverly (Jim) Whitt; 3 granddaughters, Yasmine Bender, Jaden Ludwig and Madison Shaffer; several nieces and nephews who will always remember Boog by the many jokes he always had to tell them just to see them smile.
Visitation will take place on Friday, June 8, 2018 from 5-9 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. To leave a special message for the family online, please share a memory below.
