Robert William Bentz

Robert William "Bob" Bentz, age 60 of Akron passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021. A lifelong resident of Akron, Bob was born to the late James and Marjorie {McClung} Bentz.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother Christopher and sister Patricia.

Bob is survived by his daughter Sydney; sisters Mary (Paul) Shane and Karen Giebel; beloved dog Sarge; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Bob's two passions were music and riding his motorcycle; he could often be found out on the road with the wind in his beard, or at a concert with his friends. He loved watching golf, and attending drag racing events. His soul was true and good, and he'd do anything for his daughter, family, friends and doggy. Bob was the most loving and caring father a daughter could ask for...a hero without a cape.

Per Bob's wishes, cremation has taken place. All are welcome to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, 44305 on Monday, June 14 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. To leave a message for Bob's family, please scroll below.
