Robert L. Billips, 82, of Akron, passed away November 21, 2006 at Akron City Hospital. Robert was born on January 14, 1924 in West Virginia to the late Clifford and Mary Billips. He retired from East Ohio Gas after over 30 years of service. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing and spending time with family. He was particularly devoted to his grandson, David. Robert will be deeply missed by his wife of 62 years, Pauline; son, Gary Billips and his fiancee, Shirley; grandson, David Billips and his wife, Tina; sisters, Carolyn Brabham and Patsy Garber; special sister-in-law, Loneita Humiston; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Hughes, Dr. McBennett, and the staff at Akron City Hospital for all the care given to Robert. Private funeral services will be held for the family.
