Robert L. Bowles

Robert L. "Bob" Bowles, 63, passed away unexpectedly January 26. 2022. Born in Fairmont, West Virginia to Jack and Peggy (Stottlemire) Bowles, he was a resident of Tallmadge before moving to Newton Falls, Ohio. Bob was a proud member of the NRA. He greatly enjoyed hunting, 4-wheeling, fireworks, rescuing dogs as well as showing and teaching family and friends about his prized gun collection. Bob was known for being kind and having a heart of gold. He was very forgiving to everyone who knew him and was always eager to help his family and friends. Bob was a very intelligent man who many people looked up to. He was loyal and had a strong love and dedication for his family.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Jim. He will be sadly missed by his children, Shaina Bowles, Jesse Bowles, Dwan Dishong; siblings, Jack (Gina), Don (Bonnie), Barry (Kathy), Barb (Wayland) Hicks; grandchildren, Gaven, Tully, Dragen, Saben, Nevaeh, Ayden, Owen; great grandson, TJ; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A special thanks to Bob's former wife, Lucy for being with him during his challenging final days.

Family and friends are invited to visit Monday, February 7, 2022 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will take place at 12 p.m. Tuesday, February 8 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Tallmadge Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Bob's name to Rose's Rescue.
