Robert G. Brewer

Robert G. Brewer, 91, passed away on Friday, January 18, 2019. Bob worked for Ohio Edison in Akron for 31 years and moved to Spring Hill, Florida 20 years ago. He was an accomplished baseball pitcher and played on several Akron teams. Most importantly, he was a devoted husband and father. Bob was preceded in death by parents, George and Olive Brewer; son, Tim; and sister, Shirley. He leaves to cherish his memory, wife of 39 years, May; daughter-in-law, Lois; grandchildren, Matt and Jill; 3 great-grandchildren and many friends who will miss him dearly. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation for one hour prior at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
