Robert H. Brown, Sr.
Robert H. Brown, Sr., 84, of Akron, passed away December 15, 2004 at his residence. He was born March 29, 1920 in Wilsonburg, West Virginia to the late Ralph H. & Sarah J. (Snyder) Brown. Robert was a veteran of WWII having proudly served in the U.S. Army and resided in Akron for over 50 years. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Robert H. Brown, Jr. and his daughter, Rebecca Brown. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mary L. (Mishler) Brown of Akron; daughter, Ruth (Michael) Todino of Illinois; son, Richard A. (Cathy) Brown of Greentown; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret, Ted and Gert; many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 6:30 p.m. TODAY at Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. with Rev. David Bever officiating. Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. Friday until the service begins. In lieu of flowers memorial contributuions can be made to the American Heart Association.
