Robert Browning

Robert C. "Bob" Browning, 89, passed away on December 4, 2011. Bob was born in Maryland on June 30, 1922. He served with the Army/Air Force for four years during WWII and retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber after 43 years of service. Bob enjoyed yearly trips to Myrtle Beach with his wife, Elma. He loved taking long rides in the car and making people laugh. Preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother; and 2 sisters. Survivors include his beloved wife, Elma, of 66 years; sons, Robert (Yea) and Jeff (Jackie); granddaughters, Sheila (Dale) Timbang, Stephanie Browning (Josh Guske); grandson, Chad Roberts; great-granddaughters, Mackenzie and Zoey Roberts, Katherine and Natalie Timbang; sister, Margaret Thompson; and all of his dear friends from Myrtle Beach and Chapel Hill Mall. Funeral service will be held Saturday, 2 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment to follow at Grandview Memorial Park. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
