ROBERT C. JAMES, SR.
Robert C. James, Sr., 83, of Akron, passed away August 23, 2001 after a sudden illness. He was born April 14, 1918 in Akron to the late Gomer & Ida Mae (Dunbar) James. Mr. James was a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Navy. He was a retired dockworker from Cotter's Warehouse and was a member of V.F.W. #8975. Mr. James is survived by his son & daughter-in-law Robert & Bernadette James, Jr. of Akron; sister and best friend Billie (Paul) Lisic of Akron, sister Annabelle Boston of Florida; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 4:00 p.m. at NEWCOMER-FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., with visitation from 2:00 p.m. until the service begins. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Mobile Meals, Inc., 1063 S. Broadway, Akron OH 44311.
