Robert E. Cooke, Sr.

Robert E. Cooke, Sr., "Bob", age 63 of Akron, Ohio, went to be reunited with his wife on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at his home.
He was born on December 19, 1953 in Akron, the son of June Rice Cooke Mihal of Akron and the late Harry Eugene Cooke, Sr.
Bob was a machinist for B&C for 12 years before retiring. He enjoyed fishing, music by Aerosmith, and spending time with his family. He was an ordained minister and loved his church, Lakeview Lighthouse Church.
Other than his mother, other survivors include his children, Robert E. Cooke, Jr. "Bob" of Akron and Jaime L. (Jaime Greenspan-Cooke) Cooke of Orlando; his three grandchildren, Joshua, Bryson, and Annie Cooke; his two sisters, Kelly Fuentes and Kimberly Cooke; and many nieces and nephews.
Other than his father, Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Sue (nee Dunn) Cooke, on May 23, 2010, they were united in marriage on June 27, 1972; and his brother, Harry E. Cooke, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at Lakeview Lighthouse Church, 1065 Kubler Trail, Akron, at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 18, 2017 where Pastor Dwayne Ray will celebrate Robert's life. Family and friends may visit at the church on Thursday from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
Bob will be laid to rest with his wife at Northlawn Memorial Gardens, Peninsula.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home-Akron.
