Robert Lee Dexter

Robert went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 7, 2023. He was a talented tattoo artist for many years, working at tattoo shops in the Akron and Canton area. He enjoyed playing the guitar, listening to music, art and collecting things like bicycles, tools, anything he could fix, sell or trade.

Robert spent many years dealing battling the demons and temptations on earth. He was a loving person with a kind heart.

May he rest in peace. He will be sadly missed by his mother, Tina Vernotzy, step-dad, Larry; father, David Taylor; son, August Dexter; grandmother, Patricia Parent; siblings, Cassie Dexter, Shuawna Lynn Taylor-Norris, David Taylor, Jr., Trisha Haddock; nephews, Dylan Dexter and Reese Rogers; longtime girlfriend and partner in life, Alley Becker and her daughter, Florence; many other relatives and friends. Robert was preceded in death by his sister, Chrissy Post and uncle, David Parent.

Family and friends are invited to visit Tuesday, May 16, 2023 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd.
