Robert L. Dudley

Captain Robert L. Dudley, 75, passed away surrounded by his family on March 19, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents Howard Dudley and G. Pauline Dudley and his wife Barbara (Foster) Dudley. He is survived by his children, Robert A (Jennifer), Brenda Wagner (Ron), Brian (Jillian) and Brad (Annie) and his nine grandchildren, Genna, Dan (Mikey), Brandee (Miles), Jacob, Omni, Maddie, Isaac, Emerson, and Ella and one great-granddaughter Payton.

A memorial mass will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023, at 11:00am at St. Philip & James Catholic Church in Canal Fulton Ohio. Visitation will take place at the church from 10:30am until the start of mass. A community celebration of life and "final retirement" party will be held for anyone wishing to attend on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 1:00pm at the Suffield Township Fire Station on Waterloo Road.

The family would like to extend a big thank you to Dr. Goebel and the staff at the Summa Health Cancer Institute as well as the staff at Summa's Hospice Center for the caring and compassion they showed to Bob and his family. We would also like to extend a special thank you to the Suffield Township Fire Department, Bob's dear friend Roger Hoover and all the local fire departments that participated in the escort to the funeral home as well as the many friends, family, and community members that came out to show their love for Bob on his final ride. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Suffield Firefighters Association and/or the Springfield Firefighters Association in honor of Captain Dudley.
