Robert E. Lee Evans, 95, passed away on June 24, 2014.
He was a veteran of WWII, having served with the US Army. Robert retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber Company after over 39 years of service. He was a member of Mogadore VFW. Robert loved music and playing guitar.
Preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen; sisters, Lillian, Lenora, and Murliah; brothers, Everett, Lloyd, and Jessie; son, Robert Eugene; and stepdaughter, Rhonda Kay.
Survivors include sons, James (Karen) and Bob (Allison); daughters, Janet (Edward) Regec and Mary Louise Gerhart; 22 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be TODAY, 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a funeral service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
