Robert E. "Bubba" McCary, 73, went to be with the angels suddenly on September 17, 2013.
Robert retired from Tusko Sales after 30+ years of service. He most recently had been employed at Doug Chevrolet as a shuttle driver. Robert was a member of the Lions Club and served with the US Army 82nd Airborne. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling with his brothers, cruising, and spending time with family and grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Dorothy; brothers, Charles and Jim. Survivors include his beloved wife and best friend of 25 years, Diana; daughter, Crisstina (Joe) Daniels; son, Jeffrey "Scott" (Lisa) Miller; grandchildren, Tiffany (Matt) Wade, Hunter, Zachary, Jagger, and Sienna; sister, Janet (Bob) Brown; brother, Jerry (Linda) McCary; and many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
Calling hours will be Friday, 5-8 p.m. and Saturday 10-11 a.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, with a funeral service to be held Saturday at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
