Robert Emory Morgan, age 81, of Akron, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024. He was born in South Bend, Indiana on November 8, 1942 to the late John and Lucille (Hershberger) Morgan and was an Air Force Vietnam War Veteran honorably discharged as an E-4. He worked in management for Kresge and Kmart, and in the IT department for Klais and Company Insurance. After retirement, he volunteered at Akron City Hospital. He enjoyed outdoor activities i.e. fishing, camping, and sail boating. In retirement, his passion was writing, drawing, and painting. The one thing that he enjoyed the most was walking in the park with his best friend, Cleveland.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Beverley; children Brenda, Kirk, R. Kevin (Alisha) Morgan; grandchildren Bethany, Haley, and Jacob Morgan; and faithful dog Cleveland; brother Dennis (Rayma) Morgan; sister Barb Morgan; and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, October 14th from 2-4 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home. A Memorial will begin promptly at 4 PM with Father Mike Williamson Celebrant. Final resting is at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Wednesday, October 16th at 11:15 AM.
