Robert "Bob" K. Evans
Robert "Bob" K. Evans, 87, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2008. Robert was the past director of the Akron Derbytown Chorus and had also directed the Matinee Singers. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents Orphy B. & Lula E. (Leilich) Evans; sister Alta Irene Busch; and brother Orphy B. Evans, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife, of 61 years, Jean; daughters Linda (David) Edgington, Robin (Craig) Walters, Julie (Mark) Weakland and Judith Long; eight grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Family and friends may call on Monday April 14, from 4-7 pm at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N Canton Rd, Akron OH 44312. Funeral services will take place at 7 pm following visitation.
