Robert F. Williams, 81, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away November 23, 2009 at Akron City Hospital. He was born August 27, 1928 in Valley View, Pennsylvania to the late Charles S. & Helen (Leitzel) Williams. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and later retired from Chrysler after 25 years of service. He was a committed family man and as an ordained minister was a devoted man of God; teaching the Prime Timers Sunday school class, and would visit the sick and shutins. In his free time he enjoyed golf and yard work. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles and Leonard; and sister, Sandra Frye. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Patricia R. (Wallace) Williams; daughters, Patricia A. (Dennis) Kadar and Vicki Martin; son, Robert K. Williams (Myra); grandchildren, Amanda & Robert Cunningham, Christina Martin, Jeffrey Martin, Daniel Martin and Paige & Joey Owen; great-grandson, Anthony Cunningham. Calling hours will be Friday from 5 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron where funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Kevin Angel officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Southeast Church of the Nazarene, 771 Dunbar Rd., Tallmadge OH 44278.
