Robert George Salem, 66, of Fairlawn, went home to be with the Lord on July 6, 2012. Bob was born in Akron on August 23, 1945 to the late Alfred and Alma Salem. He graduated from Archbishop Hoban High School. He recently retired from Copley/Fairlawn School Systems as a bus driver. Bob had a great sense of humor and his smile will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his son, Cory Salem. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Mary; daughter, Chelsea (Miles) Flight; sister, Debi (John) Carey; mother-in-law, Jean Bedall; brother-in-law, Thomas (Rhonda) Bedall; nephews, Michael Carey and Levi Bedall; and many other relatives and friends. He also leaves his beloved sidekick, Diesel. Special thanks to Aultman Hospital Compassionate Care Center for all the care given to Bob.
