Robert N. Hanlon Jr

Robert N. Hanlon Jr., "Bob", age 76 of Mogadore, Ohio, died on June 27, 2023 at his home after many months under Hospice nursing care. His girlfriend, Marianne, and his son, Jeff, helping him throughout.
He was born in Akron on October 3, 1946, the son of the late Robert N. and Eileen (nee Pugh) Hanlon Sr.
He attended and graduated from Mogadore High School where he loved playing football. He started an electric apprenticeship with IBEW and became a very good electrician, and eventually started his own construction company. He and his former wife, Helen (nee Gulrich), married, built their own home and had their only son, Robert Jeffrey.
In later years, Bob retired, he vacationed in Arizona at his property many times, then decided to build a vacation home there. He then met his girlfriend, Marianne, in Arizona. She began accompanying him to Ohio on his last few trips, to attend to his beloved horse, Reggie.
Survivors include his son, Robert Jeffrey "Jeff" (Sheryl) Hanlon; his grandchildren, Ryan Hanlon and Lauren Hanlon; his girlfriend, Marianne Moss of Arizona; his former wife, Helen Hanlon; his sister, Nancy (Harry) Fairhurst and his niece, Lori and nephew, Greg, and their families.
There will not be any calling hours or services and all arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron, Ohio.
