Robert J. Harr

Robert J. Harr "Butch", 68, of Akron, after a long courageous battle went home to be with the Lord on June 9, 2017. He served in the Vietnam War, a member of the Masonic Order Wayfarer Lodge No. 789, and a member of Firestone Park Baptist Church. Butch worked at Summit County Sheriff Dept. and The City of Akron Maintenance Division. He was preceded in death by his son, Anthony C. Harr; parents, James E. Harr and Catherine Harr-Middour; and brother, Don "Jeff" Harr.

Butch leaves to cherish his memory, loving wife of 43 years, Deborah; daughter, Michelle (Jamie) Harlin; son, Michael Harr; grandchildren, Lauren "Lulu", Ethan and Kasie; sister, Pam (Denny) Parker; special thanks to Melody, Byron, Donna and Kathy for their care for Butch during his last days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Cleve. Clinic Hospice Care Center Ridgewood Rd.

Family will recieve friends on Thursday June 15, 2017 from 5-7pm with the memorial service immediately following at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305.
