Robert Lee Jay

Robert L. Jay passed away on August 25, 2022, at age 50. Born on September 7, 1971 and raised in Barberton, Ohio, he was a 1989 graduate of BHS. His professional life led him and family to Missouri, where he worked for many years overseeing production at AMI Metals. He was a hardworking father with a strong work ethic. Bob was a funny guy who always had a story to share, and if you were lucky, a bag of his famous beef jerky.
He was preceded in death by parents, Karen and Willis Jay, Larry Reedy; son, Robert Alexander Jay. He is already missed by so many: sisters, Roxanne (Lee) Maynard, Rebecca (Ron) Stayer; daughters, Ashley (Jeremy) Burge, Chealsie Dillon, Brandi (William) Carder; his grandchildren and his true love, Marvina Dillon. We are grateful for his best friend, Dawn Koch for her companionship, care, and continued kindness.
Graveside service to be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park (Section D), 2580 Romig Rd, Akron on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at 11:30 a.m., Pastor John Houston officiating.
