Robert K. Perrine, Sr.
TALLMADGE - Robert K. Perrine, Sr., 89, died peacefully at home on Friday, Dec. 23, 2011. He grew up in Akron, graduating from Garfield High School in 1940, and attending the University of Akron until he joined the Army during WW II, earning the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Medal. He moved to Tallmadge in 1949 where he spent the rest of his life. He worked at Goodyear for several years. He retired from the US Postal Service as a letter carrier in Tallmadge. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, James and Alice Perrine; Bernadette, wife of 54 years; and his son Robert Perrine, Jr. He is survived by his children, James Perrine, Sandra (John) Baer, Richard (Mary) Perrine, all of Tallmadge and Bernard (Marcia) Perrine of Lincolnshire, IL; grandchildren, Johnny (Katie) Baer, Christopher Baer, Christianna Perrine, Leon Dean, Tina Ferguson, Nikki Tackett, and great-grandson, Preston Carter. The family thanks the Visiting Nurses who helped in the care of dad at home. Cremation has taken place. The family will have private graveside services.
