Robert Fulton Kiggans, "Bob", age 73, of Brimfield Twp., Ohio, died on December 7, 2020 at his home.
He was born on May 8, 1947 in Akron, the son of the late Robert G. and Eileen (nee Fulton) Kiggans.
Bob was an honorably discharged US Marine Sergeant veteran, serving during the Vietnam War, Semper Fi.
Bob was a retired diesel mechanic for Schneider National Trucking Company. He enjoyed old cars, especially his 1929 Ford Coupe and his 1974 Corvette. He and his wife loved going to car shows and traveling.
Bob was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter #717 in Akron.
Survivors include his loving wife, the former Diane (nee Jones) Hengle; his sons, Robert E. "Bob" (Ann) Kiggans and Jeffrey M. "Jeff" (Beth) Kiggans; his step-children, Daniel (Jerilyn) Hengle, Staci (John) Young, Todd (companion, Liz) Hengle and Stefanie Hengle; his grandchildren, Leda, Delaney, Griffin, Zoe, Lauren, Brandon, Noah, Mikaela, Anthony, Leah, Hannah and Carley.
Also surviving is his sister, Barbara Snyder.
Other than his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Susan Dobbs, she preceded him on January 26, 2013; his brother-in-law, Joseph Snyder and Barbara's long time companion, Kenneth Arbogast
Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron on Friday, December 11, 2020 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM.
A private funeral service will follow at 2 PM, where Pastor Amy Downard will celebrate Robert's life.
Robert will be laid to rest in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio at a later date.
