Robert E. Knott
Robert E. Knott, 78, of Orlando, passed away May 17, 2005. Robert was born February 16, 1927 in Stow to the late Willis and Dorothy Knott. Robert served in the U.S. Navy as a radarman during World War II. He attended Kent State University before graduating from art school. Robert was a world famous commercial artist for over fifty years. His career highlights included teaching at Ohio State. Along with his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne; brothers, Franklin and Willis, Jr.; and sister, Virginia. He is survived by his son, Bruce Knott; granddaughters, Aimee Renee Talbott, Sarah Yvonne Austin, and Sadie J. Knott; and brothers, Edward and Roland. Family and friends may call on Monday from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where prayers will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. John Catholic Church, 1034 Brown St. at 10 a.m. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery with military honors provided by American Legion Post #449.
