Robert L. Chalmers, Jr.
Robert L. Chalmers, Jr., 52, of Akron, passed away March 29, 2013. He was born in Ravenna on October 18, 1960. He lived in Akron all of his life and graduated from Ellet High School. Bob was a truck driver for 32 years. In his free time, he loved riding his Harley, family cookouts, spending time with his grandkids, and gambling.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Chalmers. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Laura Chalmers; mother, Janet Chalmers; children, Heather Chalmers (Kenneth Crisp), Erica Chalmers, and Kimberly Chalmers; brother, Don (Suzanne) Taylor; sister, Roberta (Mike) Confere; grandkids, Alyssa Flynn and Kenny Crisp. He is now reunited with his loyal dog, Charlie.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 4 from 5-7 followed by a 7:00 p.m. memorial service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bob's family.
